Cancer is one of the world’s largest causes of death with cardiovascular disease. Every year more than 7.9 million deaths are reiterated because of cancer (its near 13% of all deaths in the world). And the world tempo rates of cancer cases and cancer deaths are not comforting. It is predicted that near 15 million of new cases will annually appear in 2020. It’s about twice bigger than nowadays.


Top of the most popular cancer types among men are lung, stomach, liver, colorectal, oesophagus and prostate diseases. Most frequent women types of cancer are breast, lung, stomach, colorectal and cervical.


Consumption of tobacco is one of the most popular reasons of cancer. Annually over 1.8 million people die from lung cancer. About one quarter of them is during the age of 35 - 69 years old. Regular smoking causes such illnesses as chronic lung disease, cardiovascular disease, stroke and cancer. About 90 per cent of cases of lung cancer are attributed to the last one. Reducing tobacco use is the way of preventing cancer. The significant effect is observed when people stop smoking in early 30s, and even more impressive risk reduction happen with people about age of 50 years.


It is better never to start smoking or to stop this habit as soon as possible.
